Human
error is what prevents us
as a species
from going entirely mad.
As the fawn
wobbles and teeters on new hooves,
falls and arises, its focus entirely
concentrated on the task, so
we go about our lives.

          Nature
is a part of our world but
so are we, and when
we awaken from our nightmares
we will find a tolerant smile
and warm voice, and we
will be shown that the monsters in
the closet are our own.

          Means
to an end, nothing more,
and whatever path you choose
you will end up in the same place.
It is an inevitable
destination, and should

           Not
even be considered, or if
it must be so, then with simple
curiosity.
Do what you will, and watch
what happens. Life is a
game. You could break the rules,
but then again—
there aren’t any.

          Understanding
doesn’t exist today
or yesterday
or it was never there, we just hoped it was.
We are all limited to our small selves,
left to explore and experiment
until we learn what longs to be known
or until the game ends.
